After several women accused him of sexual harassment, actor Morgan Freeman addressed the public.

“Everyone who knows me or worked with me, they know that I will never deliberately hurt someone or make someone feel uncomfortable. I apologize to anyone who felt uncomfortable or downplayed. That was never my intention,” said the 80-year-old actor for Sky News.

One of the women accused Freeman that on one occasion he picked up her skirt and asked her if she wears underwear. The incidents were reportedly occurring during promotional film events at his production house “Revelations Entertainment”.

Three journalists accused Freeman of giving undue comments during interviews, and one of his former associates said she and her colleagues knew that they should not wear a tight or short outfit before him because he always commented on their appearance.

A total of 16 people spoke to CNN about Morgan Freeman, of whom 8 women claimed to have been victims of his behavior. Some of them claim that it was sexual harassment and others for improper behavior.

At 80 years old, Morgan Freeman is one of Hollywood’s biggest stars, with a movie career that spans nearly five decades. His starring roles in movies like “Driving Miss Daisy” and “Shawshank Redemption” in the late 1980s and early 1990s made him a household name. He won an Oscar for Best Supporting Actor for 2004’s “Million Dollar Baby,” and has earned four other Oscar nominations. His voiceover work has also become iconic, including his narration for the Academy Award-winning documentaries “The Long Way Home” and “March of the Penguins.”
