New research has shown that it can reduce the risk of infarction in people who have a genetic predisposition for this.

A study published in the American Heart Association Journal of Journalism is based on an analysis of collected data from about 500,000 people aged between 40 and 69 years and their genetic predispositions over a period of 6 years.

Scientists have concluded that only a little more physical activity can help maintain heart health by as much as 49 percent, to people who have genetic predisposition to infarction.
